Black garlic hummus

Our kids eat so much hummus and lately we’ve been amplifying the taste and adding some of our black garlic to the mix. It is so delicious and means that everyone is eating more raw veggies as dippers which is every parent’s dream.

Here is the recipe as we make it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 2 cloves of black garlic

  • 1 tablespoon of tahini

  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon of cumin

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine the chickpeas, black garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

  4. Serve the hummus with crackers, pita bread, or veggies for dipping.
